Refunds

This page applies once we have invoiced you and you have paid. The website itself has no checkout. Consumer rights under UK law are not limited by this note where they cannot be limited.

Eligibility

Live Studio: a full refund is available if you cancel in writing at least 14 days before the first taught session. After teaching starts, a partial refund of unused weeks may be offered at our discretion, minus the value of recordings already released to you.

Taxonomy Residency: a full refund if you cancel more than 7 days before the booked hours. Inside 7 days we keep 40% for the reserved slot unless we fill it.

Field Notes: digital materials are delivered after payment. Once download links are sent, the pack is non-refundable except where UK consumer law requires a cooling-off that has not been waived by early access.

Timeframe to ask

Write within 14 days of the event you are cancelling, or within 14 days of receiving Field Notes if you have not opened the files and the law gives you that window.

Full or partial

Full refunds apply only in the windows above, or if we cancel a desk and cannot offer a later one that suits you. Partial refunds look at weeks not yet taught and materials already issued.

Non-refundable items

Guest-reviewer time that already happened, printed workbooks posted at your request, and third-party exam fees (we do not sell those anyway) are not refunded. Bank charges on the original payment are not added back if the bank kept them.

Process

Email hello@node-layerhub.digital with the invoice number and whether you want a later desk instead. We confirm in writing. We do not take refund requests only by voicemail.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 15 working days of our written confirmation. We do not issue store credit as a substitute if you asked for money back, unless you agree to credit.

Cancellation by us

If illness or under-enrolment cancels a Live Studio, we offer a later desk or a full refund of sums paid for that desk.

Exceptions

If we reasonably believe materials were copied and redistributed in breach of the terms, we may refuse a goodwill partial refund. Statutory rights remain.
